Default Need some help with eye and temple pain

For a long time I had lots of pain in my temples.

Now it's mostly in my eyes on the top and sides. I do have light sensitivity a lot more when they are the blood vessels or arteries there are dilated and inflamed.

I believe I have issues in my occipital nerve.

I'm going to go to a chiropractor because my neck is very misaligned and hurts.

I was wondering if anyone has tips for this. Eyebright seems to help a little bit.

Don't let the chiro be aggressive. You need slow gentle work on your neck.

Are you wearing sunglasses - this will take the strain off your eyes.

Avoid too much TV, phone, computer use, rest your eyes.

Do you have headaches? My light sensitivity, pain in eyes, noise sensitivity peaked with my post concussion headaches. The solution for me was Imigran (Sumatripan) during an attack.

I have the exact same thing... have you had an MRI? Do you have excess of fluid or an empty sella? Sorry to be so personal, but, have you gained weight since your accident? I would go see an ophthalmologist.. they will be able to tell you about the occipital nerve issues! I seem mine again on Friday!

The Start: MVA, t-boned, on 1-12-14 (my sons 5th birthday) and did not think anything of it.. my back hurt on site but everything else seemed ok. Lost about 10-12 hours from about 3 hours after the accident to the next day...Experienced terrible brain fog for over a month, plus intense headaches, nausea, dizziness, cognitive difficulties, disorientation, no short term memory, depression and just an overall hangover feeling daily.

Current Situation: I'm about 7 months in and my local neurologist has waived her white flag and therefore I am headed to Dallas to be seen (I have family there). The headaches are still daily. I have nausea, dizziness as well.

Drugs I have been on- Vicodin (off), Naproxen (off), proanolol (off), topamax (off), cataflam (off), Midrin (off), Flexeril (off) and now Namenda XR (off), Nortrptylin (off), Verapamil (off)

Therapy- Osteopath, Vestibular and balance therapy, fuzion/soft tissue massage, acupuncture

Drs- ER (no help), GP, Chiropractor, Neurologist and Osteopath

Thanks for the advice! I do wear sunglasses when I need them. I have had an MRI and saw a whole team of optamologists many months ago when my problem was more migraine related.

I saw the chiropractor today and he thinks most of my issues are from my upper neck muscles spasming. They are very tender and after the adjustment today, my eyes don't hurt unless I'm looking at a screen.
