Default Thoughts on Post Concussion Execise

What are everyone's thoughts on exercising post concussion? I have had 4 concussions in the past year and each time, I believe I came back and attempted to exercise too quickly afterwards leading to a longer period of symptoms (headaches, blurry vision, dizziness, etc). I got a concussion in late August and actually waited several weeks to return to exercise this time, but hit my head slightly in the process of exercising during the 2nd week of September and have felt worse since. I've been in the gym doing some light biking and lifting 2x a week the past few weeks, but I feel worse after the 2nd day usually and am having constant headaches now. Just wanted to get everyone's thoughts and see if there may be any good vitamins to take besides fish oils? I'm taking that and BCAAs currently.

mminakow,

Welcome to NeuroTalk. Exercise is being discussed in a current thread about heart rate increases.

There is a sticky about Vitamins at the top. B-12 is important plus a balance of the others rich with anti-oxidants.

How have you sustained so many concussions in such a short period of time ?

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the tips. I've had several concussions due to rugby earlier in the year and my last was due to an accident (stood up too quickly working on a spiral staircase and hit my head). I played football when I was younger and caught in baseball,so I've had my head rung a few times throughout my life and now it's catching up to me.
