I know depression is a symptom of PCS, but I was wondering if depression can also make other cognitive issues worse (lack of concentration, etc). Does anyone know?

I guess it can if it affects your mood. Depression can creep up on you without you realising especially when battling PCS on a daily basis, something I've discovered lately.

Depression can cause cognitive struggles. Been there, done that. That is why my doctor set me up with my vitamins and supplements regimen. I was horribly depressed and had virtually no memory functions. I could not put a sentence together. This depression did not include the "stinkin' thinkin' " that gets real dark. Just mindless malaise.

the "stinkin thiinkin" sucks and I think as soon as it rears its had it has to be beaten back. At least that is my new strategy.
Don't think back at all and focus on being as comfortable as possible and building some kind of life. pt graphics job from home would be great. Best wishes to all. |

The short answer is "yes." Also, many depression symptoms and PCS symptoms mimic each other.
I actually overcame most of my PCS while participating in an intensive Depression Recovery program (linked in my signature) that focused on holistic brain health.
