Hi Jinga, yes they think I'm having some, been off all meds for three weeks except Advil and heavy vitimams. And I've had no shakes , but headache, balance, ringing in the ear and cognitive problems. Also so tired, Probably focal seizures . The side effects of this medicine is everything I'm trying to fix, and the rash scares me. Thank you for talking to me.

Smilegrl24,

Please feel free to tell us more about your symptoms. It will help us understand what your doctor is suggesting. The Lamictal sounds like a "Try this and see if it helps." It does not sound like it is based on any suggested uses.

What are these focal seizures like ?

What kind of doctor are you seeing ?

Hi Mark, my symptoms are getting better since I went off meds, I still have balance problems I walk with a cane most days, ringing in my ears, can't remember how to things ,or past things. Sleep is hit and miss depending on amounts of naps I have to take in a day. Nausea is better ,headaches are almost Constance range 3-6 in pain .

My seizures started out at feeling like I was having a stroke just the right side then I would freeze and shake for 2-3 mins. After being on the meds the stroke part went to just being numb around right side of face and some twitching then I would freeze and shake still 1-3 mins. Since off meds I'm told by my family that they can see it coming on my looking at my face as it changes and I get this far away look and I freeze with no shakes anymore. After each one I'm so tired I have to sit and rest and nap. But I haven't had one for a week and a half so I have hope there just going to go away.

I see a good chiro 1-3 times a week and I've seen this neuro dr twice since my accident in May. I want to be refered to a dr in spokane or Seattle but L&I said no until I see there IME dr in November so until , I hope to find a good dr to see. So that pretty much sums it up. Sorry for this being so non intelligence but I can't seen to remember what things are called let alone how to spell them. As I tried writing back to you and I would lose it cuz it took to long to write. I can't even remember how to write a letter, I guess that's probally my biggest fear is I seem to have lost how to do simple things

You say your chiro is good. Many chiros are too aggressive with neck adjustments. The "turn the head and pop the neck" adjustment can be too aggressive. Is L & I paying for the chiro ?

Oddly, I get the same amount of sleep at night regardless of the amount of naps I take during the day. If I need naps during the day, they are usually due to brain fatigue from activities during the day, too much reading, etc.

btw, Sorry to hear you are stuck with Washington State L&I. They appear to get in the way.

My chiro won't do manual adjustments, he uses a clicker at a very low pressure and he stays away from my c1-3 he went up once this last week and he is taking it slow. He keeps telling rest rest rest and time are what is going to heal you...

Yes I'm not sure what to think of L&I . Yes they are paying for my chiro as I made him my primary care dr.

Mark, I just want to thank you for all your information you share with everyone. I have found you to be a big asset for this forum. Thank you.
