I had a CT scan of Temporal bone 1 month after my accident and then a full brain MRI of the head 2 months later.
I still feel sensitivity 8 months later so i'm wondering if perhaps there's a missed fracture on the right side of my head? Many thanks. |

Any fracture would have healed many months ago. Plus, the CT Scan would have imaged any fracture. You may have some soft tissue injury, especially to the nerve fibers, that can take a long time to heal.

I guarantee you that...if you had CT (which is the whole head not just the temporal side) and you had an MRI (which is the whole head, not just the temporal side) that they did not miss it.
this being said... if the periosteum was bruised (the covering on the bone)...it is FULL of nerves...and unfortunately...hurts just like a fracture...and just as long. |

Yes, KatRN.
I just said the same thing a few days ago. Check the post prior to yours. Please introduce yourself. Are you suffering from PCS ?
