Default Neck Problems Causing Severe Fatigue?

Hi Guys,

I used to be active in this forum, but I haven't been around much lately. I have actually felt 90% better for the last month or two, which has been nice.

I overdid it on Thanksgiving by cooking a full meal alone and lifting a 20-pound turkey. I also ate lots of stuff that I normally avoid, like wheat and sugar and artificial flavors.

The day after Thanksgiving, I was in a lot of physical pain and felt extremely fatigued. Now my neck hurts badly, and there is a tightness in my cheeks and around my eyes. I am feeling this weird buzzing sensation in the back of my neck, and I feel extremely fatigued.

Oh, and the tightness and head pressure are back. I feel like I am wearing a tight cap or a snug-fitting headband. The back of my head goes numb sometimes.

I keep falling asleep at my laptop because reading makes me extremely tired. I've been sleeping 9 hours a night, so it's not like I'm not getting plenty of rest.

I was using the computer for long periods of time and working just fine for the last couple months. All of this started after Thanksgiving.

I'm thinking these issues might come from my neck rather than my brain, and I'm sure eating all that junk last week didn't help. I don't have insurance until January, so I'm trying to figure out how to proceed.

MWS,

My wife often finds me asleep at my laptop. I can fall asleep waiting for a page to load. I know it is mental fatigue not related to lack of sleep. I used to do the same thing when I read the morning paper.

Welcome to the roller coaster of PCS. Seasonal stresses can make the roller coaster worse.

My best to you.

Thanks, Mark. I'm just bummed because I thought I had almost fully recovered from my concussion, and now I'm dealing with the early symptoms again. It's almost been a year. I know you guys know how it goes, but that doesn't make it any easier to cope with.
