What about pain that spreads along the whole scalp? It wasn't in your list Jomar. Sometimes I can't judge if my brain causes the headache or the neck.

Trigger points (TrPs for short) can cause referred pain - this thread has info & links showing how to locate trigger points..

I get sore spots on my scalp , it actually gets lumpy in the soft tissue layer, all from soft tissue/ trigger points , sore muscles.
I work on the muscles/TrPs and the lumpy sore spots fade away..

Also I think the soft tissue injury maybe the cause of head sensitivity many of us have? Upper neck muscle stiffness also produces tinnitus and hyperacusis
