thanks this is very good info to have! how did you go about finding a physical therapist in your city that specializes in concussed patients? i assume you are being treated at a large hospital and there was one there?

have the treatments been simply exercises so far? how long did it take until you started feeling a difference in your visual system?

The concussion doctor that I'm seeing frequently sends people to this physical therapist, so the connection was already established. I'm near two big hospital systems, both with neurologists/concussion people so there's a lot of specialists here and they all know each other/know what's available. The neuro-ophthalmologist doesn't work for the hospitals but everyone else I've seen has been (although the physical therapist was at another location across town). None of the appointments are in an actual hospital, but in buildings within a ~5 block radius and are affiliated with the hospitals.

The treatments have been almost exclusively exercises. The eye drops and prism glasses are new treatments. The eye drops already seem to be helping. Acupuncture has also been mentioned for headaches and the neck massages at PT helped as well. I suppose rest and pain meds/vitamins are treatments as well.

It's hard for me to feel much of a difference with my eyes, since I couldn't detect the problems that well to begin with. I have gotten better with some of the exercises, and that was noticeable in less than two weeks. I feel like I've plateaued recently, but the neuro-ophthalmologist thinks that the exercises aren't addressing the fourth nerve palsy so I likely won't be able to get all the way better just with those. The ocular therapist has noticed improvements in my eyes' ability to both look at the same thing, she first mentioned that about 5-6 weeks in. The light sensitivity is still a work in progress and it's hard to tell how fast it's improving.

I'm not in NYC though
