Default what's the problem with stress hormones?

Since my concussion I experience a very unpleasant feeling in my head when stress hormones where put out. It's almost like a cutting or biting feeling in my head that occurs. I feel bad for the next hours or even days. And I'm talking about short stressful events, like a 10 min arguement, not a whole day full of stress. Yesterday I had such an arguement, full of anger and today my head feels completely different.

How long will this last? What is the cause for this? Do stress hormones even destroy something in the brain?
