I got a ct scan of my brain today the neurologist said it's fine. Yet a few things still concern me. The very top where my forehead would be is darker than the rest besides the very middle and the white speck concern me. I'd just like a second opinion if that's fine. I know it's the internet and not the best place to ask but still gotta try.

edited later to add: oops, I misread your msg. You had a CT not an MRI.
________ I wouldn't go worrying too much about the white spot if your neuro said it was fine. MRIs often show what are called 'artifacts' and they're usually white spots and can be caused by dozens of things not related to your anatomy necessarily. Check out the link for the sections Hyperintensity/hypointensity and Artifact http://neurology.about.com/od/Radiol...ri-Results.htm |

ct scan of normal brain images - results - quite a few have white spots , it must depend on what layer/level the image is.

There are some radiologists who have special skills at reading post concussion CT Scans and MRI's. I can't find the link. There are very few. But, seeing the minute evidence of a concussion is of little help as it does not change the treatment or outcome.
You CT Scan was likely to rule out other rare possibilities. |
