I've read about prolonged PCS being caused by 'residual head pressure', I'm not sure how much I believe this but I guess bruised blood vessels could stay restricted especially tiny ones.
I went to a chiropractor but he was just just a general one, he cracked a few bones which didn't do anything (I can't believe it can be good), he also did massage which was very relaxing and showed me some neck stretches. I think gentle yoga type exercises might help, anything that manipulates the neck muscles basically.

hello stilladog!
I'm not sure if alcohol and a concussion affect the inner ear hair cells however it is a remote possibility. I think that the Tinnitus for you will gradually improve over the next 12-24 months however Tinnitus is one of the most annoying symptoms that frankly doctors do not have a clue about. For your tinnitus you might want to schedule an ENT appointment to see if the concussive blow injured any frequencies in your hearing. You will likely improve however it will take a long time. For people on this board who only had Tinnitus for a few months consider yourself very thankful. This is long term post PCS symptom that can be very difficult to cope with. |
