So I've been on 100mgs of Tramadol for months now for my headaches/head pressure, which is my main symptom. I take 100mgs in the afternoon and 100 mgs in the evening with 6 hours in between. While they do help keeping my headache at a mild level most of the time, they are slow acting and definitely don't help with the head pressure.
Has anyone found anything to work well for their head pressure? I don't wanna take any opioids since I'm scared of rebound headaches but was wondering if anyone can suggest anything that has worked for them. |

Tramadol is a semi-synthetic opioid made to act like and resemble an opiate.
Have you ever asked about being tested for Intra Cranial Pressure ? |

Yeah, my doctor reassured me that it wouldn't cause rebound headaches like the narcotics.
I have not asked about being tested for Intra Cranial Pressure. Would that be a question I direct to my neurologist? edit: I just did some googling and the methods used in testing for increased intracranial pressure seem to be quite invasive. Not sure if my neuro would let me go for that. |

You might to do some research on cranial sacral therapy, which is non-invasive, and find a good physical therapist or osteopath for this. It has relieved my intracranial pressure tremendously and is a very relaxing treatment. You can also use your thumbs on a few acupressure points that help relieve the pressure. I do this to myself and find some temporary decrease in pressure.
I have a friend who suffered from intracranial pressure for 9 months and finally took a quick week's dose of steroids and she was free from head pressure and has not returned. I don't know much about the use of those but seemed to work for her. Also, you can YouTube cannoli roll yoga video. An osteopath in NY told me to try this. If you find the video, it's really a yoga move laying on your spine by a girl who wearing the craziest outfit but she does demonstrate the correct technique. I find relief from this as well. Good Luck! |

Thanks kdog22, I'll look into all of that. I was just reading about cranial sacral therapy on the forum actually. It seems to be useful for some and not so much for the others.
