Was the Neuroscience testing done while you were taking the SSRI ? That would elevate your serotonin. Maybe a retest after the taper down is done would be worthwhile.

I had to laugh at your post.

I know the liscense plates of every car I have driven for 40 years now. I tried to memorize every plat that drove by me, you talk about a chore when you go to the Bay Area.

I would spell the name of the shampoo in the shower over and over, every shower.

This is something that I've been struggling with ever since my injury.
This summer it got really bad again, to where I was in state of panic 24/7 for a few days.
It seems to happen during a high-stress period of my life. Last summer it was my immigration issues, this year I was laid off at the end of the spring. The triggers are usually something not really related to the stressful events.
The only thing that helps is to be distracted with work/friends.

Usually this gradually goes away after the stressors are gone.
