Your concern for Alzheimer's Disease is understandable but not valid. The symptoms you are having also directly fit Post Concussion Syndrome. If you were developing AD, you would be less able to sense your struggles. Most people with AD are not so keenly aware of their cognitive struggles. I've known quite a few who have progressed through AD. You sure don't sound even close to how AD manifests. Besides, even very early onset AD does not affect people your age.

You really need to get a NeuroPsychological Assessment. It will answer most if not all of the questions you have.

btw, The Voc Rehab Agencies in Edmonton only serves Work Comp clients.

You need to separate brain injury from mental illness. Bi-polar Affective Disorder is a mental illness. Post Concussion Syndrome is an organic injury due to physical trauma, not a mental illness.

Please look into getting a NeuroPsych Assessment. Maybe the neurologist can refer you to get one. They can take a wait to get them in Canada. If the neuro is not helpful, maybe Glenrose Hospital can help you get one. Or Kay Edmonton Clinic at http://www.albertahealthservices.ca/...af&rid=1090354 Check out the web site and Give them a call.

The help you need is out there. You just have to ask the right questions of the right people.

My best to you.
