Try not to worry, I know that is easier said!
I was injured 2 years ago and live with constant PCS. Last week I had a very heavy blind fall from my bedroom window onto my head. I still have pain in the area it hit and a lot of issues like headaches, dizziness, focus issues, etc. I know from my last injury that it can unfortunately get worse before it gets better. Follow everyones advice and please relax, limit stress as best as you can, and get as much rest as you can. Stress and worrying will only make your symptoms worse, I have first hand experience with this. |

It has been a little over two weeks and I just started to feel somewhat better, guess what I just did? I was cleaning the closet out and hit the back of my head in the same spot on the door pretty good. Now what? Why can't I stop hitting my head I feel so stupid. I am worried I really may have messed myself up since it has been so soon after the first whack.

You did not mess yourself up, at least not more that just a bit of relapse. Your anxiety is a bigger issue that the bump.
The best way to handle these bumps that "will" happen is to ice the spot if it is tender and go on with life. Otherwise, try to minimize anxiety and take is slow for a bit. Anxiety has a way of making us prone to bumping again. It can turn us into klutzes. |
