Default Sensitivity to hits

Hi everybody,

Like a lot of you, I have the problem, that very small head bumps gives me concussion symptoms. These setbacks usually take 2-6 days to resolve before I'm back to my usual PCS mode.

This condition was triggered by 5-6 major hits to my head in 2014 (after the first 4 hits nothing happened, but the 5 and 6 I am still suffering from although its 10 month ago). The hits were not extreme big but more like e.g. walking in to a door frame, standing up in a heavy lamp etc.

I am now concerned, that I in the future cannot tolerate major hits, and that they will damage/set me back like hit nr. 5 and 6. This makes it impossible to have the life I am currently having.

Are there any of you who have heard of or know of someone, who has rebuilt their tolerance to major hits? In short, will every major hits from now on cost me 10 month or more to resolve?

Except for anxiety/stress (which I am working on), I am living a brain friendly life with good sleep patterns, eating healthy, nutritional supplements etc. Does any of you have a clear opinion abouth whether the sensitivity is a psychological/anxiety problem or a physical problem?

To the above: The 5-6 major hits happened within 3 months.

Is your life built around activities that risk head hits ?

No, I was very unlucky to have so many hits in such a short time span. But sooner or later, I will probably hit my head again, and that worries me. I try to avoid it as much as I can.

And I havent heard abouth any that had this sensitivity, who has rebuild their tolerance completely...

I've never seen any research that suggest a process to rebuild tolerance. But, you can't live your life in fear. Avoid the risks that are avoidable and move on.

What risky activities do you not want to give up ?

But have you heard of any? I mean, neurologists dont believe that this condition is real, so it would make sense that there is no research.

I have given up all risky activities but I am tall, so doorframes etc. makes walking around pretty risky.

If setbacks from all the small bumps is anxiety, then why shouldnt it also be anxiety based in some of the harder bumps? I just cant believe that from now on any hard bump will send me back. I mean, I ought to seek retirement pension now while I still have the cognitive ressources to do it, because I will hit my head sooner or later, and then I will get fired - No employer will accept this
