Default Has anyone experienced relapse with PSC?

Hi everyone,

I was injured July, 2014 & by June 2015 I was finally seemingly symptom free. I have been off work since my injury & was just starting to think about going back & getting back to my life. Suddenly a month ago, I started feeling symptomatic again--severe headache all day, extremely dizzy all day, sensitive to sound etc. Now I feel like I am almost as bad as I was a year ago.

My question is whether anyone else has experienced this? A near complete recovery & then relapse without any additional injury? And any suggestions on how to get past it?

Appreciate any input.

Hi!

I had a complete relapse on August 12th this year after a day of work, no additional injury. Had a mild TBI in April, and picked up another knock in July.

My suggestion would be to first just level with the fact that perhaps you won't be able to do all the things you wanted to right away. It sucks, but if you feel as bad as you did a year ago, you need to accept that so you can begin to take the proper precautions that will help your recovery. I failed to do so after my relapse in August and continued working till mid September making my symptoms way worse.

You will get better. Just hang in there for now. The first few days after any setback are very difficult, but look to understand exactly how far you may have set yourself back, as well as what the triggers might have been. With me, it was the exhaustion of communicating that messed me up.
