Hello everybody,
So, I have have relapsed again and I fear that this time it will take a long time to get better. 3 days ago my son (4 year) fell into my jaw, and my head "nodded" a little down. I didnt think any of it but 10 hours later I behandling deling worse. Now I have difficulties reading again without headache and have this sailing feeling. It was a very little impact so I dont think I am even close to have gotten a concussion. So it must be neck related. Because it was the neck and not the head I have continued a planned trip. I have noise sensitivity but it has gotten a lot better. First we was travellibg with a propella plane for one hour (yeaterday). The dB was 85-90 but I was wearing 3m clear ear ear plugs. I think I was ok when we arrived. So later we went for dinner and I found a nice quiet place. But just after we ordered a live band began live playing 5 meters away. We tried to get another table without succes. The band played for around 20-30 minutes (the dB was measured around 95 on my iphone) and I was wearing the same ear plugs as above. Today I am totally wasted and my ear hurts. I fear a major setback of hyperacusis. What did I do wrong? Was I in fact getting a concussion 3 days ago and that is why my brain couldnt tolerante the live Music or is my ear plugs to cheap? Should I protect my ears totally for the next couple of days or? And have any of you experienced a setback from such a little hit to the jaw? And thoughts are appreciated ![]() |

I suffer from the sound/music thing all the time.....matter of fact I have the "hangover" right now as I type.....( thats my term, no alcohol was put through these lips last night)
I cannot due rock and roll...!(thats gone for good) I was at a friends home with 13 people at a Kirtan gathering....No amplification just singing/chanting.... The length and the side effect vary from time to time.... Even when Im home in peace and quiet, my brain is racing... After 9+ years, not sure if its any better?.... But I feel its is healing for me, thats why I do it..... |

Norwegian,
I really doubt the possibility of a concussion from your sons head butt. I think you might be a bit shell shocked from the noise levels. Remember to find a few minutes during the day to take a break from all the stimulation of the activity around you. 5 minutes can be very helpful. Bud |
