Smile Concussion Anniversary Date Commemoration

Hi there,

Soon coming up to the 5 year anniversary date of my concussion. Not at 100% but have definitely made some gains. The anniversary date always crosses my mind, but in the past have not done anything special on the day.

Would anyone like to share if they have done something to commemorate the anniversary date of their mTBI?

I was thinking perhaps having a small get together with friends and family to celebrate the progress that has been made along this difficult journey. Other ideas that crossed my mind were making it a small fundraiser for a brain injury organization or having a movie screening for a film about brain injury (i.e. The Crash Reel, Concussion, or Frontline's League of Denial)

Thanks!

Kid,

I happened to take my boat out this year (I was physically able to go) on the one year anniversary....mostly because that is the first day I had opportunity to go as I didn't want to do anything SPECIAL to comemmorate, simply the way it worked out with schedules.

Since I was on the water I did use the anchor that hit me and brought it back into the boat...I thought about leaving it in the lake but didn't want to waste the money for a new one.

I tend to not give my concussion the time of day. The more attention it gets, the more it feeds.
