Just an update for people that have been feeling like my symptoms. Been getting some private message so I'll just update here.
Day 18 or so. Today I'm feeling the following: Lightheaded or dizzy. Hard to describe, nothing is spinning and I'm not necessarily off balance. Fatigued not tired. Muscles seem fairly weak in arms and a bit in legs Headaches the feel like pressure( sometimes behind eyes) but never painful really. I've noticed a few times that it feels like my sinuses feel inflammed possibly? On each side of the top of my nose Havent really noticed any other symptoms or changes. Did have some tingling scattered but nothing stayed or lasted and that's happened to me for as long as I can remember, very infrequently. Mood has been kinda blah, it's bugging me feeling like this and I think is been bringing me down a bit. These symptoms seem to get better or worse at no specific times of the day really. Will restate that the doctor took blood and urine tests that all showed up clean and good with no concerns. No family history of nerve disorders or anything of the such. Told me to start taking a multivitamin and Vitamin D which I'm on day 2 of. ( can take a few months to work) Thanks everyone :) any questions feel free to keep PMing me. |
It sounds to me like you are spending too much effort trying to track and define your symptoms. This can make them much worse. Many of us have similar symptoms and just go on with the day. Change in symptoms is a weekly issue, not a daily issue. A less intense tracking would be a benefit.
Besides, 18 days in concussion terms is very early in the cycle. |
I agree for sure that 18 days isn't much for a concussion. I just havent been able to actually pinpoint anything that may have even remotely caused an actual concussion. I have had no trauma to the head in general and I have a hard time believing that starting and stopping too fast caused it when I was skating. I don't skate that fast at 230 pounds lol.

But for sure if it's better for the group I will post weekly :) I have no problem with that!

What I meant is to not track symptoms daily. How often you post to NT does not matter. A more general approach is better. The changes, both improvements and relapses take place over longer periods. It is a mistake to say, I was good on Monday, so-so on Tues, horrible on Wednesday and even worse if one tracks symptoms during the day. A better way is to look back after a week and consider, "Did I have any major problems this past week ?" If nothing stands out, great.
I really don't think your issues are concussion related. Have you been checked out by an ENT for ear and such issues ? |
Nope not yet. The doctor wants me to wait it out for a bit he thinks I'll be over whatever it is soon. I hope he's right lol
|
He says he's not worried because my symptoms aren't severe and they haven't gotten worse only better so far.
|
Then, you should, as I said, give it a week or two. Stop tracking symptoms and you will feel better sooner. I don't think you need our help. Posting to NT just gives you a reason to focus on your symptoms.
