Default TBi & pain disorders

Has anyone else been Dx'd with a chronic pain or related disorder after TBI? Besides headaches that many report, and whiplash or other neck/cervical spine, have head injurys resulted in more problems w/ pain...

Iwas Dx'd w/ Post Traumatic Fibromyalgia following accident when I was hit by car.
FMS refers to widespread body pain & other dysfunctions --inc. headaches, sleep issues, fatigue, cognitive dysfunctions and much more. More Drs/professionals feel FMS is CNS -Central Nervous system dysfunction. since no pathology exists in the muscles or other fibrous tissues (as the name/dx implies. (tho a DR did refer to it as CNS "myalgia")

I've read articles & research that cite many disorders (FMS, myofacial pain, etc) occuring after TBI

Article about Post Traumatic FMS
http://www.immunesupport.com/library...le.cfm/ID/4143

addresses Neurocomponents, how brain can become overwhelmed and "gets stuck"--by head injury, severe stress, etc.--and causes severe dysfunction in body.
SyNaps was discussed as treatment.

PCSMcGee-- is that treatment you had?? I recall you did mention pain issues. Was there a specific DX??

Hope to hear from others, esp. what helped & UPdates....

I have no idea what a DX is.

My pain issues are directly tied to the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder element of my PCS... the chronic pain I experience basically runs a clear path from the left/top side of my head (where the impact occurred) down through my neck, back, liver, and right leg, all the way down to my ankle - it's like a little trauma tornado ripped through my body and left a trail of destruction in its wake.

DX = DIAGNOSIS. It's one of several abbreviations used by DRs, med professionals, and frequently in Forums like this. (usually there is a list of those commonly used , not sure how/where to direct to those Lists, but I have seen them in NT -NeuroTalk) Perhaps someone could pull that up & add to this Forum or direct to main list of Abbreviations??

Sorry, for the confusion. In future I will try to write out rather than abbreviate, and assume others know means.

My main question/topic was CHRONIC PAIN --does anyone have any specifically diagnosed which followed TBI -traumatic brain injury.

I tried to submit a longer post but lost (again) due to connection problems.
will try to re-write.... just want to see if this posts now....

I've had infrequent migraines since my 2004 concussion, but they've been getting more and more frequent occurances. That's been it though.
