Default Under the Influence when concussed

I know this was mentioned in a different thread however I was wondering if being under the influence of alcohol (consumed alcohol) when the time of being concussed has an extended impact on Post Concussion Syndrome?

To this day i still deal with sleep problems, fatigue, and tinnitus. 2 years after a bad accident. Although certainly better i did not dream that symptoms would persist for such a long time. Hence I believe that alcohol might have altered what might have been a quick recovery had i not consumed anything the night i was concussed.

There is evidence both ways. More evidence says some alcohol tends to reduce concussion symptoms. More can be a problem. But no definitive understanding.

But, genetics also plays a part in long term outcomes.

15% of all concussions have prolonged PCS. Nobody seems to know why other than genetics.

I also read some studies about how it well may have a mitigating impact on the concussion.
Rejoice. It could have been worse and your blood alcohol may have made it better.
