I have been trying to figure out which is best for my vision. I know a high refresh rate is best, based on what people recommend for eye strain. I am studying LCD vs LED. I heard that CCFL LCD are also better for eye strain.
It seems to me that a matte screen is better than glossy, and that a large screen at more than 2 feet distance is better than small and close. Not sure what is too large. Clearly I will be dimming the screen, lowering brightness, and blocking blue light... Since my vision is so central to my symptoms I want to be extra careful. So if any of you are using a screen that you feel comfortable with that would save me a lot of thinking and time. Good news: when I minimize any vision work and cognitive, I am able to make significant strides in other areas (less dizziness, headaches, and I am able to exercise). |

I don't think others experience with displays will have any bearing on your needs. You need to find a store where you can look at each screen for an extended period.
There may be a vocational rehab clinic that understands such issues and has the different displays for you to try.

I haven't looked into in a few years. I'm really happy with my Dell U2412M.
The brightness can be lowered to a pretty low level. It is 1920X1200 (16X10), which I prefer. Gets good reviews. Lastly, I use F.Lux which is a desktop app that changes the color settings and makes it easier for me.
