Default Just a bizarre day

hi
i don't understand what's happening. I had a good night sleep. I woke up early with just the slightest headache, and the clearest head I have had in recent years. but soon after my emotions went amok. For no reason i had emotions of deep loss and sorrow and I don't know where it was coming from. My best head yet in years (have had this for 7 yrs now) and my emotions are bonkers. I'm usually a pretty calm guy. It was really hard to deal with. tried doing deep breathing meditation. didn't work. so I skipped coffee (per vitamin thread) just had some toast and went to sleep it off. I was up again 4 hours later... massive headaches, massive nausea, foggy head. full on symptoms back on. slightest move makes my symptoms worse. slightest sound is painful. even keyboard sound. my emotions much calmer. I'm frustrated. I just don't get it. it's hard to live like this.

I thought perhaps part of the headaches were from caffein withdrawal. so I had half a cup. drank more x-strength advil and tylenol. 11 hours later, 16 hours from the clearest head in years moment, my headaches are now calmer. im afraid to move about. i know my day will be better tomorrow. can someone please explain wth is up with that? I know you may not have any answers. just getting a word out to the universe. help.

AkoAung,

Welcome to NeuroTalk.

I have experienced the same feelings in the past. They always went away. Once, it was triggered by a new medication that I stopped immediately.

These can be either depression or anxiety or both.

I found that I had to find something productive to do to work my way out of the feeling.

If you suddenly stopped caffeine or drastically reduced caffeine, it can throw the brains chemistry off for a bit. Low blood sugar can also be a trigger.

Hopefully, if you can find something to do that is productive and a distraction, your brain will settle down.

My best to you.
