If you can do a physical activity without it causing an increase in symptoms, it is usually OK. Just moderate your intensity levels.

Do all that you can that doesn't significantly bother you.
I am back to pretty normal exercise levels, took 2 years to get there but I did. I must monitor the duration of intensity more so than in my past but I'll take it! What are you willing to live with symptoms wise that you recover quickly from is what I went by. Some exercise early on could take days to recover so I stopped and tried again later. Nowadays symptoms do arise but not to the point of interfering with daily life so I accept it. |
I have no idea how to post a question on here. But, I'm 5 days in with a concussion. Light sensitive, too much going on bothers me, headache, feel drunk, dizzy.. Was wondering if it's normal to be worse at night?

angela,
Welcome to NeuroTalk. Yes, the symptoms you are experiencing are normal. The end of the day is often worse due to fatigue from the days activities. Simplifying your day is worthwhile. Give your brain a break from stimulation. You are very early in your recovery so you will likely improve greatly in the coming days or weeks. Some get some headache relief from icing the back of the head and neck. btw, It is recommended to not use one's full name when posting about health issues online. The administrators can help you change your name if you want to. angela_w1 or something like that would be good. |
