Hi all,
I had my most recent concussion in June 2016. On Monday, I fear that I may have been re-concussed. I was sitting at a desk when I moved my head back sort of quickly and hit the brick wall behind the desk straight on. I immediately felt dizzy, had a bit of headache, and out of it, so I went to see my doctor. He did a couple of tests and told me I was fine--no concussion. But two days later, I have a bit of a headache still and am pretty fatigued. Most of the headache pain is radiating from my neck. I saw my doctor again and he still insists I don't have no concussion. He says that my anxiety is causing all of this. What do you think? |

susandee77,
Welcome to NeuroTalk. You likely did not suffer a concussion. The memorized symptoms of a concussion can rage from just minor bumps when anxiety plays a part. This is not uncommon. I suggest you try to find things to keep you mind busy with so you do not get focused on your symptoms. Even if this was a minor concussion, there is nothing that can be done to treat it other than headache relief. Lowering anxiety levels is still the most important way to move forward. So, relax. Try to stay distracted from your symptoms and give it some time and you should do better. My best to you.
