Default This Odd Symptoms After Head Trauma

Hello sorry this might be long. I have a severe blow to my head and face and body back in 98. A week later both my ears plugged in and my brain and nervous system shut down. My 5 senses were dimished and I had difficulty recognizing people place and objects. I was so sick for 10.5 years and doctors just labeled me and scans would show up fine. A higher power helpedal me as I am fine today. The medications did not work at all. My only symptoms is my weird ear popping and clicking and stretching and bubbly sound especially on my right side thats, where my injuries were. I need help with this puzzle and mystery. I am seeing an ent tomorrow as I never saw one. I need some answers because I am writing a book on it too. My accident was very bad and no one called 911 as I lay there freaked out with severe swelling and back bruises. So sorry so long I need some answers thank you.

Reka,

Welcome to NeuroTalk.

Did you see the other post about ear clicking ?

Palatal myoclonus or middle ear myoclonus could be an issue. TMJ can be a part of the clicking. Ask the ENT about these possibilities.

Many suffer serious concussions without anything ever showing on scans or imaging. You are no different.

There are decades of experience with concussions here. How else can we help you ?

Hello Reka: Welcome to NeuroTalk: One option here on NT (in case you haven't already found it) is to use the Advanced Search function to search for previous posts related to your areas of concern:

https://www.neurotalk.org/search.php

I don't have the particular symptoms you have. However I do have Meniere's Disease & tinnitus. So I have a sort-of whistling sound in my head 24 / 7. In my case, I was fortunate to find an ENT who has tinnitus himself & who has made something of a specialty of treating tinnitus patients. One other ENT I saw actually did more harm than good. So, at least from my perspective, it can make a difference what particular ENT doctor you see. I hope you have a positive experience with yours. Let us know how it goes.
