Vania,
Feel free to start a thread. I've started them just to tell an amusing TBI anecdote. Try to avoid starting a new thread for every study. TiT, Upper neck injuries are what I call subtle neck injuries because they are very difficult to diagnose with normal means. My position is to treat the neck as if it is injured by being disciplined with good sleep posture. A chiro or good upper cervical PT can help but personal behaviors are most important. Just as many PCS issues, we need to self-treat and not expect a doctor to have a magic bullet.

Months ago I couldn't bend my neck without worsening my headache, I felt like the blood flow to my head is badly restricted. My injury likely strained my C1 C2 joints as you suggested, and now I'm thinking about HBOT therapy, maybe it could improve my condition. My pain is localized mostly behind my eyes, along with tension headache so I was wondering whether it could be occipital neuralgia, or is that the same as cervical injury? No back head pain though. |

HBOT will not help a neck issue.
What do you do to take care of your neck? Head aches can take months to resolve. Some are neck related. Others are related to vascular control of blood flow in the head. I take aspirin or aspirin/acetaminophen to treat my head aches.

Interesting thread. I still remember that morning exactly a week after my concussion waking up with tinnitus and nausea ...and the nape of my neck sore. More recently I was trying to figure out what had caused a recent relapse and it coincided with slouching on the sofa with my neck bent, when I got up I felt a sudden fatigue and nausea come over me. Over the next few days my neck felt uncomfortable and warm.
