Default How are you guys doing?

I thought it could be nice with a thread to check up on how everyone is doing. I haven't been on the board for a while due to having a bunch to do in school. If you feel like it, write what's on your mind! How is your recovery going? How are you feeling right now? Are you feeling hopeful or experiencing feelings of hopelessness, and why?

I've been doing this for 7,5 months now and I've gotta say that although I'm not satisfied with where I am, I'm content. By the start of september, I enrolled in the uni semster and did a course in sociology. This is the first time that I tried to read course litterature since I hit my head in the end of march, and things went by allright. I didn't go to lectures and just structured my days around reading - minimizing stimuli before reading and taking breaks when I got tired.

A couple of weeks ago I found out that I had passed the course! This was a huge milestone for me, and I regained some confidence in the hope that I could keep reading my program without dropping out. It seemed that even though I failed two courses (more than half) last spring, I would be able to pull through.

The last two months have been pretty tedious recovery wise, as I'm able to do a lot of things that I want to do. Therefore I don't notice major milestones in my recovery as often (as I used to do when I felt terrible all the time), but on the other hand I notice small signs of that I've gotten better even though I wasn't aware of the change while it was happening. For example, I can now sit through a meeting with a group during a group project without having to worry so much about my mind getting tired from 4 people talking.

The next steps/milestones feel pretty distant, since they demand so much of me. One is being able to hang out with friends at restaurant or bars regularly and without worrying about getting exhausted, another is being able to pick up exercising again (running or lifting weights) and the final one is being able to feel almost fully recovered - being able to party with friends without worrying what drinking alcohol would do to my recovery.

I'm going to try hanging out with friends at a bar without drinking sometime in the following month, and I'm hoping to be able to do some light exercise in the gym (light weights) sometime this winter. I'm also hoping to be able to get back to not worrying too much about my condition for late spring/early summer. Right now I'm feeling hopeful.
