I've only been using NeuroTalk a few days and I already love it. But sometimes I just want to talk to somebody. Not anybody I know, I just wanna talk to someone who's going through/been through a bad concussion like me(I'm still recovering from my first one for 8 months tomorrow).
I just want to talk and talk and talk about our recoveries. This probably seems weird. But, I feel so loved yet so lonely. There is not one person who understand what I'm going through entirely but talking to someone who has an idea I think would be soooo helpful. This probably doesn't exist but if anyone knows of such a thing, please let me know! I have so much to say and to have someone besides a doctor who has a clue what you're going through would make me feel good. Thank you! ❤, Brianna. |

You can call the Brain Injury Association:
+18004446443 Leave a voicemail and a "brain injury specialist" will call you back. I did this back in March when my symptoms took a turn for the worse. They called me back and talked me through the issues I was having. Good luck.

What happened: I was randomly assaulted from behind in June of 2011. I was knocked unconscious for an unknown amount of time (less than 30 minutes) and have no memory of the event. CT scan showed contusion and hematoma of the left frontal lobe. I spent 3 days in the hospital. Diagnosed with Post-Concussion Syndrome in September 2011. Currently have Medicaid, Medicare and SSI. Current symptoms: Brain fog, mild memory issues, problems with spontaneity, occasional spacing out, word finding difficulties, tinnitus in right ear and some other things that I can't explain. Life after the brain injury: 4 years after the injury, I'm engaged to my beautiful girlfriend of 5 years, I'm the CEO of my own business, Notorious Labs, I've taught myself how to program complex games and apps which is a feat I never thought I'd accomplish and now live a semi-normal life with very mild PCS symptoms. Slowly but surely regaining my life back. |

ca1975,
Welcome to NeuroTalk. Sorry to hear you have struggled for so long. It is difficult to get the help and understanding from family and friends. Please feel free to tell us how we can help you. You can start your own thread with the New Thread button. This will allow you to put a title that fits with your needs. Have you tried to find a local brain injury support group ? If you tell us your local area, we can do some research for you. |

thank you. thank you so much for this question as i've been wondering the same thing. I'm also wondering if. There's a 24/7 online chat as I'm not a phone person nor do I have texting. I like this forum.
