anne12,

Welcome to NeuroTalk.

It is unclear whether you hit your head or just suffered a whiplash injury plus some bruising. What struggles are you having?

Hi thank you. Oh I hit my head. Hard. Headaches, dizziness, nauseau. Problems w/ articulation.

The other day I couldn't remember what a 'receipt' was. The cashier in the store asked 'and how about a receipt?' and I'm thinking 'I don't know what that is'. In my head I translated it into a sentence I'd understand. Not exactly problems w/ definitions of words but more with......the word used for something. I'm not sure how else to explain this.
Problems w/ sense of location. I was walking in a neighborhood where I've spent most of my life. wasn't entirely sure where a Starbucks was so I went into a Mexican place and asked. I've also had to draw myself a couple maps to get to places I usually wouldn't have any trouble walking to. < this all happened yesterday.

anne12,

It does not sound like you are experiencing anything that is not common to a concussion. What has the doctor said?

Are you on disability?
