Default Lirtazapine withdrawel

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if someone here has knowledge or experience with mirtazapine withdrawel? Since there is not much info to find about it.

My story short. 5 months after the concussions i was cleared and everything was back to normal. In that period i took 7.5mg mirtazapine for severe insomnia and another month of tapering to a complete stop because my concussion/whiplash was healed. I'm of mirtazapine for 12 days now. But since i stopped it was like my concussion symptoms returned, although it is from the withdrawel itself.

My symptoms now: nausea, lots of muscle pain/stifness, burning skin sensation, tinnitus, overall weakness and fatigue and the feeling like i want to sleep constantly. But the thing that worries me the most is that i started to have swelling on several places in my body. I have swelling and redness around my eyes and my eustachian tubes are also swelled shut which in turn caused reversed ear drum (which is very painfull). The doctor gave me nasal steroids hoping to counter the swelling. Luckily my quality of sleep is not affected and i sleep well.

Does someone know if or how mirtazapine withdrawel causes these internal swelling and if my other symptoms are typical for mirtazapine discontinuation? It would really ease my mind.

For now im keeping positive and hoping this doesnt take to long. Ive read horror stories of people saying they are going to mirt withdrawel for almost a year. But then again i realize people who have it the worst often turn to the internet and not the people who do not suffer. It would be nice if someone could share a more positive story
