I think last time I searched I looked up concussion specialist not a clinic. I just saw a few when I googled it as well.

I’ll call tomorrow and try to find one for me as we have a state of emergency today and I imagine they’re closed and only hospitals are going to be open.

So no ice? And what will PT have a recommendation for?

If your neck muscles feel a bit achy/sore, I'd suggest alternating cold on the lower base of head/neck junction, and warmth across the neck/shoulder /upper back muscles..

Maybe Aleve/or the generic will work for you..

Alright, thanks for the advice Jo*mar! I’m going to try out the heat, it sounds like a good idea. My upper back muscles are achy/sore same with the middle of my back. It may just be from sleeping wrong though or lack of a good night sleep. I started a small dose of melatonin and it helps me fall way asleep easier.

I just iced my neck on and off cycling 3x on the upper neck/head area where it meets. It did in fact help with the soreness feeling for sure I actually didn’t have a headache at that time though. The last time icing I did it for a bit longer and I got like a vertigo feeling, sort of got dizzy because I brought my head up a little fast from laying down on my pillow and then got out of bed. I haven’t had that feeling for several months now, I need to take it a bit slower.

It probably doesn’t help that I’ve been sneezing a lot. Now I got a very minor headache, I think I may relax my eyes for 20 minutes and listen to some calming music to help it go away. Then do a little more ice and heat later after I get back from the store.

I have a list of vitamins/supplements I started to take. I had a decent amount here with me already. I’d like some feedback on which I should add in or take out, like taking mega men with b-50 complex. Can I add a post in the vitamin sticky or should I just post here?

Thanks for all the help guys, it’s much appreciated!

It's hard to suggest specific vitamins to someone, it depends on the individuals diet & what might be lacking or a benefit if added..
For overall general health, supplements like Ginseng, MSM, Grape Seed extract..and a good multi can be worth considering.

Maybe there is a diet tool or diet analyser online somewhere..oh -

Okay I have a regimen I’m going to be sticking to for now. Just want to add a better source of magnesium rather than oxide. Thanks for the diet analyser.

There was a room painted where I’m staying early this morning. The paint fumes kind of smell. I tried to air it out for about an hour or two. It can’t do much harm I hope right, it was one wall. Kind of upset about it.

I’ve also been walking around and getting some exercise outside.

Mark,

I called several concussion clinics in my area today. All of them either said they don’t do that type of test for some reason, one said they’re only pediatric, and a couple others don’t participate in any Medicaid card holders. They won’t even accept cash as an outpatient from Medicaid members because “the state won’t let them.”

I did however find a neurology group about 50 mins from me that’ll see me next Thursday. I can schedule an appointment with a neurologist there, and they one that participates with Medicaid insurance.

I called PT and I’m going to be sorting everything out with their billing Dept. tomorrow since they were closed today. They said they can get me set up with concussion test and they’ll recommend me to a place when I go there after talking to their billing dept about payments. Just wanted to give you an update. God bless.
