Default Sx dissipate when you take Benzos?

I am on clonazepam, only way to deal wth my anxiety and get sleep.
When I take it at night, dizziness and nausea dissipate, or get masked.
Is that your experience?
Second question: should I avoid triggers while under the influence of klono. So far I have been going by the philosophy that Klono is masking the sx, and if I do some of the things that trigger sx while on it, my sx will be worse the next day, even if I don't feel it immediately.

It depends on what triggers you are referring to and what symptoms you are referring to.

Have you tried anything beside Klonopin?

I take gabapentin after Klonopin was making me too sleepy the next day.

I am talking about the dizziness and nausea as sx that disappear 1/2 hour after I take a Clonazepam.

Examples of triggers that usually lead to immediate increase in sx: Listening to Radio, watching something on my TV (no no for me), reading or looking at something close such as iphone (Convergence insufficiency). The latter is the killer for me.

Half an hour after Clonazepam I can do the above without much increase in sx. Most likely it is just masking the sx. So I still avoid triggers while on it. But it occurred to me to ask what is your experience.

bach, I don't know about others but I have a hard time reading comments when abbreviations or terms like sx is used. I have to stop reading the sentence and think, "What does sx mean?" sx does not intuitively translate to symptoms. Brain injuries suck.

I don't think the Klonopin is masking the symptoms. I think it is changing how your brain processes the sensory input so they are not triggers. This is no different than how an SSRI can change how the brain receives stimulation.

I use 5-HTP and L-Theanine to solve similar issues. If I do not take them in the AM, I cannot see the ping pong balls when I go to the gym at noon. They just fly past faster than I can track them.

Mark, I am sorry for the abbreviation. I should have thought about that, since I have the same problem with others. Have a very hard time guessing things.

If you are right, that would be nice. This would mean I can actually take advantage of the low symptoms time by doing things I can't do otherwise.

I am going to have to try this one again.
