Default Looking for support and advice

head trauma in 2016-2017, significant impacts: initial concussion from hit to head in hockey, broken nose, hard elbow to face/jaw, falling head first into boards, full force slap to top of head, elbow to side of head, basketball dunk on head ×2, shoulder to jaw ×2

That is the list of the most significant head impacts i suffered JUST in 2016-2017. I also lived a very crazy lifestyle all year and only really took time off after the initial diagnosed concussion.

Not to mention, i suffered many many other impacts throughout my life from accidents, fighting, sports, dangerous/crazy activities, etc. Also all the stuff i worry about and have made posts about in the past, the 'every day impacts' type of stuff.

I suffer from pretty extreme anxiety and mental illness so all this is something that really weighs me down and that i spend much time ruminating over given that it always lingers in the back of my head. I want nothing more then to stop worrying, move on with my life, live a normal, happy, active life, etc but it feels like that may not be possible with all we know about brain damage, cte and all that fun stuff. The uncertainty on how much brain trauma ive truly suffered is really what kills me.

Anyone have any advice or in a similar boat?

Default Shoulder to chin

A girl just stood up in to me when i was perched down. As she was standing her shoulder clipped me pretty good in the chin. It didn't really hurt but it was definitely a decent impact anyways on the bottom side of my chin and it made my head move back a bit.

Should i be concerned about this or was it likely just a sub concussive impact and i should simply move on and forget about it?

No worries, that is a normal life bump that we wouldn't give a second thought to before any head injuries.

Our heads are pretty tough for the most part.

I think worry comes from thinking about the future and what can go wrong there...live one day at a time and sometimes I have to live one minute at a time. There are things that require future plans but don't spend time on the negative possibilities that we control.
