Default Symptoms worsening post Concussion syndromee

Hi all,
Fairly new to the blog but very glad I found it- no one can really relate to my problems. I got concust around 2 1/2 years ago and instantly felt foggy, couldn't keep track on conversation and anxiety attacks. Went to the doctor who said I was concust: he advised to eat regularly, have consistent sleeping patterns, avoid screens and should get better.

I did this for around 2-3 months but my demons got the better of me and I started to drink again as well as smoke marijuana and watch loads of tv. In my mindset I just thought it would take longer to heal but hey I'm still having fun with friends and that.

Then after a year and a half later I started to notice changes that I previously ignored such as getting a lot more emotional, short term memory loss, someone would be talking and I would have something to say then completely forget it. I would go to get something or do something and forget completely what ist was. Mood swings also flying up and down. Increased axiety, lack of concentration, sleep problems, vertigo, a heart beat thumping in my ears and increased irritability and isolation from others. Then I started to notice changes in my vision- If I focused on something everything around it would start flickering or kind of flashing. Parts of my body would like of spasm for a bit like a small muscle on my shoulder. Also I would wake up and my arm would be numb (sounds silly but never happened before and dont sleep on it)

Sorry for that giant paragraph but had to map out the symptoms . My doctor just brushed it over- I think he thought it was all in my head (pardon the pun) and eventually I had to pester him to get a MRI. Went to a neurologist who said I have a healthy brain and also brushed it over, he said take 400mg of vitamin B2 daily and I should get better.

I feel like I'm worsening and am losing my personality: like morphing into a human potato and no one understands. I can't really talk to people and just float in this fog.

So to conclude, any tips on things to occupy me with that dont involve screens or reading that are best for recovery, vitamins or procedures that help out or just general tips would be immensely appreciated.

And don't take valium with PCS or TBI people it only enhances symptoms (well in my case anyway)
