I decided to tell my boss I can't go because of a medical condition, without really going into specifics. I feel little bit embarrassed and guilty I guess, but oh well. It's better than waking up the morning after with a bad setback

I understand your feelings....But please dont be embarrassed, you are taking care of yourself, thats all....

I think its a wise....You would not be very happy if you ignored your ego and made yourself worse!

If we dont take care of ourselves, no one else will!
