Hello everybody,
I have been dealing with memory problems, trouble processing information, and the overall sensation of "brain fog" for about 3 years now. I have a history of concussion. I used to be very bright and high functioning and now my life just consists of me operating in a severe haze. I am extremely depressed. Doctors have attributed my current symptoms to psychosomatization and it was not until recently that I got neuropsych testing ... I scored in the 99th+ percentile on verbal comprehension, perceptual reasoning, working memory, and full scale IQ. My processing speed was around the 21st percentile. Would the relatively low processing speed account for some of the issues I described above? Would that be a result of concussion? If anyone has dealt with similar issues and has seen improvement, I would be so happy to hear that My motivation to keep moving forward is dwindling more and more each day. |
