Default Travel after concussion

got my fourth concussion two weeks ago and am supposed to go on a fam trip to Florida next week. The trip will be super relaxed, mostly beach time and hanging out. Will require about a 5 hour plane ride.

Am i ok to go still? Any recommendations, things to avoid?

Just as a warning, I did something similar and now have had 7 months of constant excruciating post concussive syndrome, and I wish I hadn’t travelled while concussed. Play the long game and stay home and rest... you will thank yourself for it later. Travel is stressful and stimulating to your brain even if it’s laid back.

I’m confused now based on these responses because i talked to both my neuro and vestibular therapist after i posted it and they encouraged me to travel, telling me that the plane ride might temporarily heighten my symptoms but it wouldn’t prolong recovery and would be good for me to get away and relax for a week instead of working .... i don’t know what to do now. Anyone else here have experience ?
