Confused New here - How long can this go on

I have been being treated for depression, mood swings, attention deficit disorder, sleep problems and... in short, pcs symptoms... since shortly after suffering my first concussion in 1984.

I was a hockey player, and an acrobatic skier, and a crazy, tomboy, thrill seeking girl and I believe that the total number of concussions I had, before being told I couldn't play hockey or even softball any more, was 13.

I've heard about pcs, but stupidly thought that what I've been experiencing for over 20 years now has been mental illness. It may prove to be just that, but the symptom list I've just read for pcs, pretty much describes to a tee... my exact problems for these many years.

Could it be that pcs is what's been destroying my life all this time? If it might be, and or if I can somehow find out if I do indeed have it, are there treatments other than the slew of psychotropic medications I take daily?

Sorry to jump on and just start asking questions, but if I try to search previous threads and so forth for answers, I'll be 80 pages in and find myself reading about something totally unrelated that caught my attention...

Thanks for any information any of you can provide.
