Default Is my computer screwing up or do the colors make it hard to read posts?

Does anybody else have struggles to read text with the new background colors?

My damaged brain is really struggling to handle the new format.

The shaded blue text on a pastel blue background has too little contrast. The thin line fonts are also a challenge.

Has anybody read the WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Access Guidelines) that are designed to help web designers make accessible web sites?

I am having problems with change thats all....I believe on the bottom left there should be some formatting and or color options.

Its towards the end of the page but not the bottom.

Site was updated - But you can change your default skin/theme to what works best for you..
I prefer the soft colors of Desert Sand ..
But there are many options to try.
Look at bottom of this link to edit skin/theme/style and set your preference.
You can test them first using the drop down list on lower area of NT pages..

[Forum Skin
There is more than one skin in which you can view the forums. If you would like to switch to a different skin, select it from this list.

Please note that some forums here may override your skin choice temporarily.]

New default theme, Blue Responsive

DocJohn did an announcement post about the new format on CFF forum
Here's the link to it:
New default theme, Blue Responsive

As he explains there, and Jo*mar has also posted here, it's very easy to go back to the original default theme, or to change to any one of the other choices.
I have always like the Spring theme best, but we know people have vastly varied preferences, which is why there are those options.

What is the old default theme called and how do I select it?

The blue fonts on the index page are unreadable for me.

As is happening all over the web, web sites are being changed to accommodate mobile users. PC users are being left out.

I am trying to see if I can start a foundation that helps with maintaining accessibility to web sites for those of us with visual processing and other visual barriers. W3C is setting some standards with WCAG but they have no ability to press the issue with inaccessible web sites.

Between visual agnosias, aphantasias, and other visual challenges, many people are being shut out as formatting changes are made to serve the mobile users.

I found it. Back to normal. The dark blue font on the index page is so much easier to read.

The skin I can read is Default Style.

Go to the bottom of any page here , on my screen it is in lower left corner with a drop down "button" to choose different styles- there is Default & a Blue Default - Blue default seems to have more contrast on my screen..

Or use the link I posted earlier for your User CP settings and go to the bottom of the list - to the Forum Skin area selection area, it has the drop down chooser also..
