Default Braking hard with PCS symptoms

Can abs braking cause or worsen a concussion? My abs braking system stopped my car going about 60mph. I don’t have any effects from the seatbelt and aside from being shaken up I felt okay. I did sustain a concussion 3 months ago and have some PCS symptoms and anxiety. I did talk to a neurologist online (that’s how the appts are now) and they did say sudden braking can cause/worsen concussion. I guess I’m looking for any experiences with this as I really don’t want to be back where I was two months ago and go backwards in my healing. Thanks!

ABS usually pulses the brakes so the car doesn't skid and lose control..
There are past posts on the braking topic here is our search link..

Oh sorry I thought it meant automatic braking system! It was my automatic braking. It malfunctioned and braked while I was driving on a bridge. I wasn’t anticipating the braking which is why I am worried about a new issue. I’ve heard that a sudden jolt can cause a new concussion or worsen an older one so I was worried.

No, Braking in a car cannot cause enough force to cause a concussion unless the person slams their head into the dashboard or another hard surface.

The people who claim is can do not understand the physics involved.

What are you worried about?

Have you had previous concussions?
