Default New concussion - been tapering off valium

Had an injury yesterday. Definitely have a concussion. but for the past 2 months Ive been tapering off valium.

Now on the forum it says valium is not good to take with a concussion but - Ive been tapering off it and am on a low dose.

Is it necessary to stop completely now and go through withdrawal along with concussion symptoms or should I continue the taper? Pretty damn confused and could use some feedback.

Thanks

Finish tapering off the Valium as you were already doing.

So best to not go through withdrawal during concussion symptoms - correct?

12 days since my concussion and honestly - my anxiety is overwhelming. And theres the fear that continuing on valium is going to harm me in some way.

I guess thats the anxiety - and I cant shake it.

Sorry to keep posting the same stuff in the forum. I keep reading too many about how benzos are bad and Im scared. Its a vicious circle.

Your current dose of Valium is very low. The bad time for benzos is during the first few days.

That is history. You were at a low dose during your impact.

Move on with your life.
