Hi guys,
First time poster on here – I've suffered two concussions over the last four years (first one from falling backwards in a rocking chair, second from getting hit on the head) and like a lot of you, have struggled with PCS. Thanks to advice on this forum, I've gotten my neck checked out, which has helped immensely, but it's still relatively unstable. After years of being very very careful, today I slipped on standing water in the street and fell hard on my tailbone. I think I have my anxiety relatively in check about this, but I was just curious if this could theoretically cause a new concussion? I'm not sure about the g-forces involved, but I'm moreso just curious if a hard vertical fall is enough to damage the brain. Thanks! |

Treat your symptoms, most likely jarred your whole spine and tailbone more than anything..

I’m not an expert but I’ve had this exact thing happen to me a few times over the past few years and like you have had the same anxieties. I’ve posted about it on here and if memory serves people generally said that it’s unlikely to be the type of incident that would cause serious harm to the brain/new injury.
Also in my experience this type of thing could cause a bit of a setback and relapse in symptoms but I’ll usually return to how I was prior soon enough without having my long term progress impeded upon. Quote:
