If you look at native people in remote parts of the world, 100 years ago they had no degenerative disease when they ate their traditional diets. As soon as modern processed foods were introduced to their diet, they started having health problems such as Alzheimer's, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, asthma, arthritis, and obesity.

That has been observed over and over again all over the world. So it's pretty clear that the foods we eat are making us sick. Processed vegetable and seed oils are just one of many factors. Refined carbs are another factor.

Most people think "it's just a little bit, no big deal." But I'm sure the natives thought the same thing when they started eating processed foods.

These harmful foods don't just affect our physical health, they also affect our mental health and brain health, and slows the recovery of brain injuries. Anxiety, depression, anger, and ADHD are linked to a poor diet and gut microbiome imbalances.

These rancid oils above are in so many foods that it's hard to avoid. Fast food, processed food, and fried food often contain these oils. Even foods that are touted as healthy alternatives contain them. So that's why you should check the ingredient labels and cook meals at home so you can make sure you're using healthy ingredients.
