Hi all,
Yesterday I was a passenger in a car and was accidentally drifitng to sleep. In doing so my head fell backwards and hit the headrest quite hard. I was sitting upright and as I fell asleep my head went into it. I have only a light ache at the back of my head, otherwise no symptoms. This is my first time posting here so any responses, especially from any medical professionals, would be very helpful. |

Sleepily lightly bumping a headrest like that - not a concussion.

If you look for symptoms, you will often find them. If you don't look for symptoms, you will not notice any discomfort.
The ache is likely from neck strain from sleeping with your head and neck in a poor position. Not a concussion. Not even a sub-concussive impact.
