Very long story which involves my neighbor friend. She was hit by a car on her bike. Was recovering from 2 other accidents.
She has all her hope in this place, and seeing her yesterday she is a mess. Has anyone tried this place? She thinks If I go they can help me. Its hard to explain myself but after 16 years I dont expect miracles. Im not a pessimist, but I did 3 years of heavy therapy and this is were I am today! Dr Zelinsky's Institute has had great success with the patients that have the specific conditions that her therapies treat.
In fact, I was going to suggest her to snappydad.... but she is in Chicago and has limited openings for care. She is a cash pay institute. Insurance does not usually cover her program. Many on NT have been helped by her care. Some have not benefited at all. DavOD, What are your current struggles? What kind of 'heavy' therapies have you used?

Ive never driven do to slow reaction/over reaction. Sensory integration. Any sudden loud noise I over react. Have confusion the more I do or have to think.
Real bad tremors that can last for hours, triggered by noise or over stimulation. I now my triggers, and do my best to keep away from them. It took years for me to accept that I would never work again, drive again. I get by, by keeping my life simple, I live alone and its just me and my service dog. Any time in public noise canceling ear buds, and sun glasses... |

Hi Mark. I have actually considered trying to go there. Needing to pick my spots a little as I spent a lot on alternative therapies this year and didn't get anywhere so I'm losing a little family support on things that fall outside of insurance. My insurance won't cover it I don't think. I spoke with them maybe 6 weeks ago and they were booking a couple of months out. Here is the breakdown of the costs that they gave me: The cost for the initial Mind-Eye Exam™ will be $2675 which will consist of the 3-4 hour exam. The testing during this exam is extremely comprehensive and would be required in order to get the precise prescription that you would need for your treatment. The first follow up appointment, which is typically scheduled out around 3 months after the initial exam will be $495. Our Brainwear glasses are approximately $200-$800. This includes both frames and lenses. Frames are priced starting at $99. These frames have been hand selected by our trained Opticians to accommodate our Brainwear lenses. We have a wide range of stylish and comfort frames. The lenses are custom to your individual treatment plan. Subsequent follow ups are $990. Any charges for lenses and frames are in addition to the appointment cost. To recap, this is the breakdown of costs: Initial Exam: $2675 First Follow Up: $495 Glasses: $200-600 Subsequent Follow Ups: $990 The CPT codes that you can provide to your insurance company to bill them for a reimbursement are as follows: 99205, 92015, 96125, 97533 |
