Default Lasik Eye Surgery

Has anyone had Lasik surgery done prior to brain injury?

Has anyone had Lasik surgery done after brain injury?

I am curious if it could be helpful or harmful to my visual system. I do need glasses for distance. My visual system has had a very tough time the last couple months and been one of the biggest challenges since injury.

I could imagine improving vision would increase total input which could overwhelm the system more.

Thanks for any ideas, thoughts!

Happy new year to all.

I've read that blurry vision is linked to migraines, headaches, and other neurological symptoms so check for underlying conditions.

Improving your vision will help your brain, not overstimulate it.

I know you've read about nutrition, but I'll mention this book anyway:
Stop Vision Loss Now! Large Print Edition: Prevent and Heal Cataracts, Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, and Other Common Eye Disorders
There's more to it than just coconut oil. He says a very Low carb diet that is high in fat will give the brain the conditions it needs to heal and improve eyesight.

If your vision is corrected with glasses, your brain already has the benefit of good vision.

Lasik can leave you will other visual artifacts that your brain might find annoying.

My injured brain cannot ignore the many visual artifacts in my vision due to PV D. It is annoying. I have to just look past them.
