I stopped soccer and contact sports but have continued on with life. Hits happen. Most of my head hits did not involve any risk activity.
I do wear a helmet when appropriate but I do not worry about head bumps. Worry about diving into a pool is a classic DeanBJJ anxiety. His late 3 am sleep is more of his issue.
