My son took amtrypline for many years as a teen. I can't tell you for
sure if it helped his migraines all that much. But it did let him sleep.

He had lots of migraines, and they were very hard to get rid of.
But his were true migraines without PCS involved.

He also had something like small seizure things in the end, and seizure
meds helped the most depakote.

I hate to jinx it, but I'm hoping we're starting the upswing. The headaches are still constant, but with fewer peaks of bad ones. We're sticking with the Amitriptyline for now, and have cut way back even on the basic activities of TV watching and computer use. Funny, it's me who can keep the positive attitude and my son who it's more difficult for.

Laser therapy from the chiropractor and seeing a cranial sacrotherapist is helping -- can't say it's actually healing the condition, but it feels good for him to go and feels good for me to be able to DO something for him.
